After research on Laura Mulvey's Male Gaze theory I began to see it everywhere. Specifically in advertisements where products we over fettishized in order to make them desirable. A particular culprit for this was perfume adverts. So, I decided to make one for myself to fully understand the theory and its use. I got a lot of inspiration for this short film from Joe Wright's short film for Chanel No.5. I decided to also play around with 'signifier's' in order to understand them in greater depth too, having the French girl at time smoke could be construed as phallic symbolism. Its just an experiment, But I hope you like it.
