Reception Theory
Reception theory explores the idea that an each audience reacts differently to a piece of media, based on their individual and regionalised education. Their upbringing, religion, political views, sexuality and culture all impact the way that an audience perceives a peace of media, and also the way the react to it. Reception theory suggests that our identity reflects our reception and interpretation, we are grown with our own ideologies and they are reflected in our interpretations.
